ArcelorMittal is the leading supplier of quality steel products in all major markets including automotive, construction, household appliances and packaging; it holds advanced research and development systems, sizeable captive supplies of raw materials and operates extensive distribution networks.
ArcelorMittal Galați asked FiaTest to support the implementation of the OHS management system, based on the OHSAS 18001 standard and to train its employees in the occupational health and safety area.
Starting from this need, the FiaTest team ensured the development and the implementation of the OHS management system for all the plants of the ArcelorMittal Galați. The design and the implementation of the OHS management system have been approached in conformity with the Deming cycle for management systems, starting from the Plan stage, going on with the Do, Check and Act stages.
Following the success of the Galați project, FiaTest was asked to provide similar consultancy services for the design and the implementation of the OHS management system in other two organisations belonging to the ArcelorMittal Group, i.e.: ArcelorMittal Iași and ArcelorMittal Tubular Products Roman.
